- Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
- So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
- I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- So you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and by fearing him.
- And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his steadfast love. - Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. - If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.
- That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
- This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles. - What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - A man's gift makes room for him
and brings him before the great. - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.”
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him. - Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
