For the customs of the peoples are vanity. A tree from the forest is cut down and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so that it cannot move. Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
