Jesus And Simon (3/4)

  • Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.
  • There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  • Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.
  • Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
  • Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
  • And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
  • Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
  • But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
  • For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
  • He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
    Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
  • May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
  • As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.”
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
  • Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
  • And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
  • Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?
  • Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
  • Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.
  • “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
  • The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
  • Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
  • But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
  • Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”
  • But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
