- Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
- Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - And keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.
- How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
- Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;
he who despises his ways will die. - If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
- Oh that they had such a heart as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!
- But the steadfast love of the Lord is
from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
- It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. - Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. - I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. - Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
- Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. - And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
- Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
