- A talebearer reveals secrets,
But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter. - Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye. - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
- Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.
- Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
- Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.

But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. - Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
- By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;
For He has no pleasure in fools.
Pay what you have vowed. - For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- Ponder the path of your feet,
And let all your ways be established. - ‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.
For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not remain angry forever.’ - Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous.
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;
Your right hand has held me up,
Your gentleness has made me great.
You enlarged my path under me,
So my feet did not slip. - But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
