Bible Verses about 'LUKE 2:11'

  • For this day in the city of David there has been born to you a Savior who is Christ, the Lord.
  • Joseph therefore went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David. He went to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was expecting a child.
  • While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
  • But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
  • Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests.
  • And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
  • He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.”
  • After John had baptized all the people, and while Jesus was engaged in prayer after also having been baptized, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
  • Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for forty days, where he was tempted by the devil. During that time he ate nothing, and at the end of it he was famished.
  • The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
to bring the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to prisoners
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free.
  • I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
  • But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
  • Give to everyone who begs from you, and do not demand the return of what is yours from the one who has taken it.
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
  • Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
  • Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
  • A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.
  • No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
  • When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
  • Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
  • Then he said to all who were with him, “Anyone who wishes to follow me must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
  • For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
  • And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.”

Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
