- Let everything that breathes
offer praise to the Lord.
Alleluia. - I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your precepts. - O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze on what lies before you. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory shine over all the earth. - Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
- Do not let anyone lead you astray. “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
- Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - Guide my steps in accord with your word
and never let evil triumph over me. - Let those who are wise understand these words,
and let the prudent acknowledge them.
For straight are the ways of the Lord;
the upright walk in them,
but sinners stumble. - Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You place your trust in God.
Trust also in me. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory shine over all the earth. - Rather, let justice flow like a river,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - Let the wicked abandon their ways
and those who are evil their thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord
so that he may have mercy upon them;
and to our God,
for he is rich in forgiveness. - Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your gracious Spirit lead me
along a level path. - If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart
find favor in your sight,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cries of supplication. - On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out,
“If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.” - At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul. - Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners.
- For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these.
