Chinese (traditional)- If your brother wrongs you, go and take up the matter with him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
- He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
- Make your ways known to me, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you.
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall.
- Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - Then keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- Teach me your ways, O Lord,
so that I may walk in your truth;
let me worship your name
with an undivided heart. - You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.
- May he give you your heart’s desire
and grant you success in all your plans. - So if I, your Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet,
you also should wash one another’s feet. - Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God, is Lord alone. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
- If it seems wrong to you to serve the Lord, then today you must choose whom you will serve, whether it be the gods that your fathers served on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites who dwell in the land. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
- You shall serve the Lord, your God. He will bless your bread and water and take away sickness from your midst.
- O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
Does God give you the Spirit and work mighty deeds among you because you have kept the Law or because you believed what you have heard? Therefore, my beloved brethren, stand firm and immovable, devoting yourselves completely to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.Next verse!With image
