| Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way. | You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. |

| And the world with all its enticements is passing away, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. | The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. |
| Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you. | Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. |
| And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God. | Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance. |

| There is only one thing I ask of the Lord, just one thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord and gaze on his temple. | One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. |
| God abides in anyone who acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, and that person abides in God. | Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. |
| The one who sows in his flesh will reap a harvest of corruption, but the one who sows in the Spirit will reap from the Spirit the reward of eternal life. | For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. |
| For six days work can be done, but the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, a holy assembly. You will do no work on it; it is a Sabbath of the Lord in all of your dwellings. | Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings. |
| Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. | But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. |
| Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord. | Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord. |
