Chinese (traditional)- We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
- Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love! - When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
- Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
- For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
- If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today for your good?
- Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! - For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds. - He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
- And rend your hearts and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin! - Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
