- You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you. - But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him” - He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
- And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? - For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits. - Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
- But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- No one can serve two masters; for a slave will either hate the one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
- I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.
- We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
- See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
- But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—.
- We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.
- Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.Next verse!With image
