Chinese (traditional)- I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” - One who is covetous will never be satisfied with money,
nor will the lover of wealth be content with gain.
This too is vanity. - For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. - Each person should give as much as he has decided in his heart, not with reluctance or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- Adulterers! Do you not know that love of the world results in enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her in order to sanctify her by cleansing her with water and the word.
- For the Lord loves the just,
and he will not forsake his faithful ones.
Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed,
and the children of the wicked will be cut off. - My son, do not ignore the Lord’s discipline
or refuse to accept his rebuke.
For the Lord disciplines those whom he loves,
just as a father chastises a beloved son. - And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
- Father, allow those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
because you loved me
before the foundation of the world. - It was not their own swords that won them the land,
nor did their own arms make them victorious;
rather, it was your right hand and your arm
and the light of your face,
because you loved them. - Whoever does not love
does not know God,
because God is love. - Do not love the world
or what is in the world.
If anyone does love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
- If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love,
and the greatest of these is love. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. - May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
and remain in his love. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love overlooks all offenses.
Love is patient;
love is charitable.
Love is not envious;
it does not have an inflated opinion of itself;
it is not filled with its own importance.
Love is never rude;
it does not seek its own advantage.
It is not prone to anger;
neither does it brood over setbacks.A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace when we are in need of help.Next verse!With image
