- But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
- The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. - Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. - So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
- For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
- For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
- For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
- But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
- But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.
- Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
- Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them? - For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man. - He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
- I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.
- This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.Next verse!With image
