What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? | Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? |
A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame. | Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult. |
I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. | I, I am he who comforts you; why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die, a human being who fades like grass? |
A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. | A perverse person spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. |
