Bible Verses about 'Man’s'
Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor. | A person's pride will bring humiliation, but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. |
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. | The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps. |
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. | Our steps are made firm by the Lord, when he delights in our way. |
As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. | Just as water reflects the face, so one human heart reflects another. |

The rich can pay a ransom for their lives, but the poor won’t even get threatened. | Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats. |
Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. | For just as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. |
You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. | The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. |
The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety. | The wealth of the rich is their strong city; in their imagination it is like a high wall. |
Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words. | Words spoken by the wise bring them favor, but the lips of fools consume them. |
What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. | Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man. |
People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart. | All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the Lord weighs the heart. |
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. | Anxiety weighs down the human heart, but a good word cheers it up. |
Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest. | What is desirable in a person is loyalty, and it is better to be poor than a liar. |

But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. | But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abounded for the many. |
