For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.
But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!

So they are no longer two but one flesh. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.
Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.
