- The Lord God then formed a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her before the man.
The man said,
“This one is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh.
She shall be called woman
because she was taken from man.”
This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh. - For everyone born of God
conquers the world.
And the victory that conquers the world
is our faith. - Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil.
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
- In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
- The time of fulfillment has arrived, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- God created mankind in his image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
- Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born from above.” - Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life. - However, to those who did accept him
and who believed in his name
he granted the power to become children of God. - You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.
- But as for you, man of God, you must shun all this. Rather, pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, fortitude, and gentleness.
- As servants of God, behave as free people, but do not use your freedom as a means to cover up wrongdoing.
- And the world with all its enticements
is passing away,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever. - He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” - Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- I write these things to you
who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may know
that you have eternal life.
