Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24	Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. reward life receiving

Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even death on a cross. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. Because the sentence for committing an evil act is not carried out quickly, people’s hearts are prone to act wickedly. Ecclesiastes 8:11	When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. sin heart punishment
God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, but now he commands people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30	God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. repentance conversion forgiveness
However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. money greed materialism
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people. Psalm 31:20	How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. trust fear blessing
Nor would someone light a lamp and then put it under a basket; rather, it is placed upon a lampstand so that it may afford light to all in the house. In the same way, your light must shine so that it can be seen by others; this will enable them to observe your good works and give praise to your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16	No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. evangelism worship goodness
You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot. Whenever you fast, do not assume a gloomy expression like the hypocrites who contort their faces so that others may realize that they are fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. Matthew 6:16	And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get. fasting humility reward
For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly. Titus 2:11-12	For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God. grace righteousness salvation
Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith. Galatians 6:10	Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. gentleness neighbor goodness
May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you. 1 Thessalonians 3:12	And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. love neighbor relationships
The vine has withered; the fig tree droops. The pomegranate, the palm, and the apple tree— all the trees of the field have dried up. And the joy of the people has also withered away. Joel 1:12	The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.

But when you fast, comb your hair and wash your face. Then no one will notice that you are fasting, except your Father, who knows what you do in private. And your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
