- There is none holy like the Lord:
for there is none besides you;
there is no rock like our God. - Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation. - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- The blessing of the Lord makes rich,
and he adds no sorrow with it. - Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
- And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. - But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
the sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. - Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
- But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
- But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin? - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
- For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.
- Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
- No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
