- He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.

The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple. - True humility and fear of the Lord
lead to riches, honor, and long life. - And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
- I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me.
- And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.”
- So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
- For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
- But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
- But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress. - The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born. - For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
- Joyful are people of integrity,
who follow the instructions of the Lord. - The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.
- Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever! - Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.
- Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him. - The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living. - In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.
- When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.
- So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
