- And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful! - And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.”

All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Praise him forever! - For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
- And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
- Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him. - Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - True humility and fear of the Lord
lead to riches, honor, and long life. - But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
- For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.
- For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born. - And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.
- For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
- When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin.
- The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living. - You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
- But as for me, I will sing about your power.
Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love.
For you have been my refuge,
a place of safety when I am in distress.
