- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah - And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - Blessings are showered on the head of the righteous,
but sorrow will cover the face of the wicked. - There is only one thing I ask of the Lord,
just one thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord
and gaze on his temple. - He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- What is born of the flesh is flesh,
and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. - Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the world.
- Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand.
- Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
- Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil.
- The reward of humility and fear of the Lord
is wealth, honor, and life. - Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - Then the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- Not because of any righteous deeds on our part
but because of his mercy,
he saved us through the bath of rebirth
and renewal by the Holy Spirit. - I write these things to you
who believe in the name of the Son of God
so that you may know
that you have eternal life. - Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen.
- He is the reflection of God’s glory
and the perfect expression of his very being,
sustaining all things by his powerful word.
Achieving purification from sins,
he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unfathomable his ways!
- The law of the Lord is perfect,
affording refreshment to the soul.
The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust,
imparting wisdom to the simple. - Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth fastened around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness clothing you, and with your feet shod in zeal to proclaim the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold in your hand the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart
find favor in your sight,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
