- One who guards his mouth protects his life;
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
- Therefore, concerning the eating of food sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.
- For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
- One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper,
But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion. - As iron sharpens iron,

- Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus.
- One who conceals an offense seeks love,
But one who repeats a matter separates close friends. - And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
- And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”
- But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.
- One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. - For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished!
- For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
- God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways.
- One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. - One who loves discipline loves knowledge,
But one who hates rebuke is stupid. - Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way.
- And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’
- Now no one lights a lamp and covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light.
- One who conceals hatred has lying lips,
And one who spreads slander is a fool.
