Bible Verses about 'Own'

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. But because of cases of sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.Do not seek your own advantage, but that of the other.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?
And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring. You have the fringe so that, when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes.
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. For not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm give them victory; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your countenance, for you delighted in them.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts. All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the Lord weighs the heart.
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be a healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body.
He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.To get wisdom is to love oneself; to keep understanding is to prosper.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today.
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Do not wear yourself out to get rich; be wise enough to desist.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.If you refrain from trampling the sabbath, from pursuing your own interests on my holy day; if you call the sabbath a delight and the holy day of the Lord honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, serving your own interests, or pursuing your own affairs; then you shall take delight in the Lord, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth; I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself.
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
