Bible Verses about 'Person’s'

For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

The ransom of a man's life is his wealth, but a poor man hears no threat. The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
One's pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways, for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.

Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
