- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets. - The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.Next verse!With image
