- If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
- Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;

- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
- For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
- So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
- But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels,
preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world,
received up into glory. - Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven. - Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.
- Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.
