- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
- Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

- The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - He keepeth the paths of judgment,
and preserveth the way of his saints. - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
- The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
- Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
