Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved. - Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. - For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than live in the tents of wickedness. - For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You. - Teach me Your way, Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - Before the mountains were born
Or You gave birth to the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. - For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it passes by,
Or like a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands. - One who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will lodge in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!” - He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may take refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and wall. - If I should say, “My foot has slipped,”
Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. - When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,
Your comfort delights my soul.
