Chinese (traditional)- As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God. - My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Deep calls to deep
at the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your waves
have gone over me. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm save them,
but your right hand and your arm,
and the light of your face,
for you delighted in them. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin! - Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
- In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! - For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds. - But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God. - And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love.
For you will render to a man
according to his work. - O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.Next verse!With image
