- Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”

but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!
- In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
