Bible Verses about 'Real'

  • As a face is reflected in water,
so the heart reflects the real person.
  • There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
  • If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

  • We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.
  • Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom.
  • So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.

  • Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
  • So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
  • Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
  • Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
  • If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!
  • For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.
  • Evil people get rich for the moment,

  • Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
  • This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
  • Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life.

  • All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
  • Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
  • The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
  • But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

    and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?
But I, the Lord, search all hearts
    and examine secret motives.
I give all people their due rewards,
according to what their actions deserve.
  • So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
