- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble. - Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble. - The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee
before the sons of men! - I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - Thou art my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. - Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.Next verse!With image
