Bible Verses about 'Regard'

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself.
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.Let no one therefore judge you in eating or drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.Who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.For I say through the grace that was given me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline; whoever learns from correction is wise.A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.
Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise. When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.
For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’
The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken!“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you will delight yourself in Yahweh, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it.
He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.
I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by your regulations.I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me.
God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist, that no flesh should boast before God.
As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should!I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments.
The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever. All of your words are truth. Every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever.
But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. We have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.
And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.
But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven.Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.
‘I am the Lord your God,’ I told them. ‘Follow my decrees, pay attention to my regulations, and keep my Sabbath days holy, for they are a sign to remind you that I am the Lord your God.’I am Yahweh your God. Walk in my statutes, keep my ordinances, and do them. Make my Sabbaths holy. They shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am Yahweh your God.

Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.And keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn yourself.
