- Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but whoever hates correction is stupid. - A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. - Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in. - The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.Next verse!With image
