Bible Verses about 'Return'

  • “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of armies, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of armies.
  • Let’s examine and search out our ways,
    And let’s return to the Lord.
  • For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.
  • I have wiped out your wrongdoings like a thick cloud
    And your sins like a heavy mist.
    Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.
  • ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord;
    ‘I will not look at you in anger.
    For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord;
    ‘I will not be angry forever.’
  • Take words with you and return to the Lord.
    Say to Him, “Take away all guilt
    And receive us graciously,
    So that we may present the fruit of our lips.”
  • “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “Return to Me with all your heart,
    And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.”
  • So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
    It will not return to Me empty,
    Without accomplishing what I desire,
    And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it.
  • Let the wicked abandon his way,
    And the unrighteous person his thoughts;
    And let him return to the Lord,
    And He will have compassion on him,
    And to our God,
    For He will abundantly pardon.
  • Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.

    Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

  • Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
  • Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
  • Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.
  • Since you are precious in My sight,
    Since you are honored and I love you,
    I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life.
  • Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.”

And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
