Bible Verses about 'Return'

  • Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
  • Let us test and examine our ways,
    and return to the Lord!
  • For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.
  • I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud
    and your sins like mist;
    return to me, for I have redeemed you.
  • Return, faithless Israel,
    declares the Lord.
    I will not look on you in anger,
    for I am merciful,
    declares the Lord;
    I will not be angry forever.
  • Take with you words
    and return to the Lord;
    say to him,
    “Take away all iniquity;
    accept what is good,
    and we will pay with bulls
    the vows of our lips.”
  • “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    “return to me with all your heart,
    with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
  • So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
    it shall not return to me empty,
    but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
    and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
  • Let the wicked forsake his way,
    and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
    let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,
    and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
  • And rend your hearts and not your garments.
    Return to the Lord your God,

    slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;

  • Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
  • Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
  • As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
  • Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
  • Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.
  • I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.
  • Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.

  • Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
  • And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
