But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others.He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word!A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.
See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
