- Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
- For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit. - For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

and serve justice to the poor and needy. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
