- I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. - Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. - I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. - For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. - Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
- The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:
the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down:
the Lord loveth the righteous. - But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour:
but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. - The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
- Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
but the just shall live by his faith. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
