but the righteous shall live by his faith. - For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.

and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit. - For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! - And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.
- The Almighty—we cannot find him;
he is great in power;
justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate. - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
just and upright is he. - Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
- Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
- So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues with injustice. - Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
