- So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- He was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
- To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
- For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
- Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
- They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning.
- Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute
in the sight of God and of people. - God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”
- I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
- Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- Can a woman forget her nursing child,
or show no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. - But when they saw him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost and cried out; for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
