Scripture on go light your world (2/4)

  • Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
  • For not by their own sword did they win the land,
    nor did their own arm save them,
    but your right hand and your arm,
    and the light of your face,
    for you delighted in them.
  • For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    whom shall I fear?
    The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
    of whom shall I be afraid?
  • Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him, and he will act.
    He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
    and your justice as the noonday.
  • Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
  • Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
  • And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
  • For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
    ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
    that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’
  • If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
  • For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.
  • I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
  • But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
  • Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
  • For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
  • For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
  • You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
  • Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
  • The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
    the world and those who dwell therein.
  • Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.
  • Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.
  • But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Bible verse of the day

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
