He leads me beside still waters. - Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
- Who is wise, that he may understand these things?
Who is prudent, that he may know them?
For the ways of Yahweh are right,
and the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - Yahweh’s blessing brings wealth,
and he adds no trouble to it. - Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones. - Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away,
but he who gathers by hand makes it grow. - Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits.

but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

- Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - What is man, that you think of him?
What is the son of man, that you care for him? - In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience,
but he who restrains his lips does wisely. - Don’t weary yourself to be rich.
In your wisdom, show restraint. - So teach us to count our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. - You shall walk in all the way which Yahweh your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
- I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
