and righteous people live by walking in them.
But in those paths sinners stumble and fall. - Godliness makes a nation great,
but sin is a disgrace to any people. - Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.
Be wise enough to know when to quit. - Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”
- Pride leads to conflict;

But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Only a fool despises a parent’s discipline;
whoever learns from correction is wise. - The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives. - Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
- Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
