“As I live, says the Lord, to Me every knee will bow,
And every tongue will give praise to God.” - Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies,
And seek Him with all their heart. - But the Scripture has confined everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
- But just as it is written:
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the human heart,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.” - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
- But the one who boasts is to boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- Keep deception and lies far from me,
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with the food that is my portion. - At night my soul longs for You,
Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;
For when the earth experiences Your judgments,
The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. - God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. - And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.”
- And it happened that He was passing through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples began to make their way along while picking the heads of grain. The Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions became hungry; how he entered the house of God in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the consecrated bread, which is not lawful for anyone to eat except the priests, and he also gave it to those who were with him?” Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”
