- I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
- This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
- Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
- For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God. - You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
- And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. - You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.
- What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- And I shall walk in a wide place,
for I have sought your precepts. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. - You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- “For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - You shall walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
