- I am the Lord, your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
You know no God but me,
nor any savior other than me. - Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
- When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
nor will the waters engulf you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not consume you. - This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant.
- I keep the Lord always before me,
for with him at my right hand
I will never fall. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - Therefore, whoever breaks even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever observes these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- I will place my rainbow in the clouds and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand unshaken. - Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.
- Although the mountains may be shaken

my steadfast love will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will never be shaken,
says the Lord who has compassion on you. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand ever unshaken. - Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance.
- Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
- For the Lord loves the just,
and he will not forsake his faithful ones.
Those who follow evil paths will be destroyed,
and the children of the wicked will be cut off. - He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- The Lord will battle for you. Be calm!
- Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.
- Even if an army encamps against me,
my heart will not succumb to fear;
even if war breaks out against me,
I will not have my trust shaken. - Now, if you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will be my own possession from among all the peoples, for the entire earth is mine.
- You will not add to what I command you, nor will you take away from it, so that you might observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you.
- For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him
may not perish
but may attain eternal life. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will have their fill. - I will walk in complete freedom
because I have sought your commands.
