- All my longings lie open before you, Lord;

A faithful God who does no wrong,

- To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
- Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
- But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
- Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
- Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
- Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all. - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
There is a way that appears to be right,
but in the end it leads to death.Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
