Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Sin'
- The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
- Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
- For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
- Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
- Blessed is he
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - I acknowledge my sin unto thee,
and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
- And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
- Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
- But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah.
