The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer? What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin.But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.
That as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
